OK but a financial newspaper only gives you the NH-NL data of the day. How do you get NH-NL data over a period of two periods? By subscribing to a service like decisionpoint.com? Any free alternative that you may be aware of?
And have you generated MAS (Most Active Stocks) indicator as well taking the 15 most active stocks of the day over again a period of 2 years or so?
There are explorations in ami or meta or whatever software u use...which can explore 52 week HI and LO and you can make your database....
Time consuming....Yes...but then that's the only way...plus when u r done till recent date then maybe you can keep on updating your excel file from the newspapers!!!
Hope thats suffice...
You need historic data in excel....just ask with a smile :-)
Trading is nothing short of speculation and people who treat it as intelligent speculation have a fair chance of doing well. The posts in this blog are nothing but notes I am making for myself. I welcome serious discussion on TA from like minded people and willing to share whatever little knowledge I have of TA. Nothing on this site should ever be interpreted as advice, research or an invitation to buy or sell any securities.

NH-NL..... I take the data in excel format..and then convert it to metastock format...
For the NH/NL data refer to any financial newspaper...as they report these figures the very next day!!!
Hope it helps...
Cheers!!!
